Ann Morgan
Editing
I spent two years as a commissioning editor on the Education UK contract magazines that the Guardian produces on behalf of the British Council for international students thinking of studying in the UK. This role saw me planning content for global and regional editions, commissioning and managing writers, and working with clients and contacts in Nigeria, India, Pakistan and China, as well as students of all nationalities.
Sub-editing
Since completing a sub-editing course at the London College of Communication in September 2008, I've sub-edited for a wide variety of publications. These include The Guardian, Tatler, Vanity Fair, The Literary Review, Ancestors, Family History Monthly and Building Design. I am available for subbing shifts in London and the south-east and also take on proofreading work for corporate clients.
Web editing
Between October 2008 and January 2010, I was UK website editor of readme.cc, a pan-European virtual library funded by the European Commission. I also have experience of working with a variety of content-management systems for web publications.
