I spent two years as a commissioning editor on the Education UK contract magazines that the Guardian produced on behalf of the British Council for international students. This role saw me planning content for global and regional editions, commissioning and managing writers, and working with clients and contacts in Nigeria, India, Pakistan and China, as well as students of all nationalities.
I've sub-edited for a wide variety of publications. These include the Guardian, the Financial Times, Tatler, Vanity Fair, the Literary Review, Ancestors, Family History Monthly and Building Design. I am available for subbing shifts in London and the south-east, and also take on proofreading work for corporate clients.
My work as a sub-editor frequently requires me to prepare articles for online publication. As such, I have experience of working with a variety of content-management systems.
